Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos are three beautiful Greek islands located in the northern part of the Sporades archipelago.

Skiathos:
Beaches: Skiathos is famous for its numerous and diverse beaches. Koukounaries is one of the most popular beaches with golden sand and clear waters. Banana Beach is known for its water sports activities, and Lalaria Beach is famous for its unique white pebbles. Other notable beaches include Vromolimnos, Agia Paraskevi, and Tsougria. Characteristics: Skiathos is a vibrant island with a lively atmosphere, especially in Skiathos Town. The town is known for its charming old port, narrow streets, and vibrant nightlife. The island combines both natural beauty and a lively social scene.

Skopelos:
Beaches: Skopelos is known for its green landscapes and beautiful beaches. Stafylos and Velanio are popular choices, with Stafylos being more organized and Velanio being a quieter and more secluded option. Panormos is another picturesque beach with crystal-clear waters. Milia Beach and Kastani Beach gained fame as filming locations for the movie “Mamma Mia!” Characteristics: Skopelos is characterized by its lush greenery, traditional villages with white-washed houses, and rich history. The island is less developed than Skiathos, offering a more peaceful and authentic Greek island experience.

Alonissos:
Beaches: Alonissos is known for its pristine and less crowded beaches. Agios Dimitrios and Leftos Gialos are beautiful choices, with clear waters and a tranquil atmosphere. Chrisi Milia is a sandy beach surrounded by pine trees, offering a relaxing setting. Votsi Beach is another charming spot with traditional tavernas nearby. Characteristics: Alonissos is the least developed of the three islands, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a quieter and more laid-back atmosphere. The island is also known for its marine park, home to the endangered Mediterranean monk seal.

All three islands are accessible by ferry and offer a combination of natural beauty, traditional architecture, and a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle, making them popular destinations for travelers seeking an authentic Greek island experience.
